Northgate Real Estate
Northgate is a neighborhood in northern Seattle that is centered around the biggest mall in the area, Northgate Mall. Northgate Mall was actually the first covered mall in the United States. This area has been the focus of several huge developmental projects, and the neighborhood is truly seeing the fruits of this labor. In 2006, a new park, library and community center opened in the area, making this neighborhood even more ideal for new families. There are several new apartment buildings being erected as well, including some right across from the new 16 screen Cineplex that is just getting finished. There are a plethora of newer condos in the area that hug closer to the mall, and residences enjoy the conveniences of shopping right on their doorstep. Northgate Mall itself was remodeled recently, and makes for a completely satisfying, contemporary shopping experience. While areas of this neighborhood are strictly residential, the bustle of Northgate Mall is unmistakable. Whether you want to chill out in Barnes and Noble, find a cute sweater at Nordstrom, get some glam at Forever 21 or grab some Asian food at the food market, Northgate Mall has it all. With a Target, Best Buy and Ross right across the street, you can get your shop on no matter whatever you need. I-5 borders this neighborhood to the west, where residents can hop right on and buzz into downtown Seattle for a night on the town. North Seattle Community College is also right in the Northgate neighborhood. This two-year public college is known for their wide range of educational options and has one of the best watch-making programs in the country. Other important features of the Northgate neighborhood include the south fork of Thornton Creek that runs through, and the architecturally unique Sheihk Idriss Mosque.

Homes in the Northgate neighborhood come in huge variety of shapes and sizes. Because this neighborhood is both highly residential and hugely developed, you can find just about anything. The areas closer to Northgate Mall are going to be consistently newer, and more likely to be condominiums. There are several new apartment buildings that surround the mall that make for great, contemporary living. However, the areas further from the mall offer areas with a privacy and greenery that can’t be beat. There are townhomes and bungalows in the neighborhood, and quite a few craftsman styles homes as well. Many of these Northgate homes were built between the 30’s and 50’s, and are known for their classic feel. All of the residences in the area are just a hop, skip and a jump from the many amenities of a huge shopping area, and of I-5. You couldn’t ask for a more convenient and multi-faceted place to live in. No matter what is more important to you: comfort and convenience or bustle and excitement, the Northgate area can offer it.

Bank owned homes in Northgate are easier to find these days, which can mean buying a house for a great deal. The thrifty homes buyer is going to be able to find deals on real estate that wouldn’t be possible otherwise.
